01 — The story so far

Built slowly. Checked constantly.

Makulus did not start as a product. It started as a discipline: write the rule before the trade, keep the receipt, and let an outsider try to prove you wrong.

Built since June 2026 as one man's research organism, Makulus grew around a single refusal — not to mistake a good story, a backtest, or its own enthusiasm for evidence.

Its research facility, Wise, now works inside the same walls: originating ideas, testing them under rules registered in advance, and proposing — never activating — what survives. Codex, an independent AI, serves as consulting reviewer from outside the build.

On October 31, 2026 the platform migrated to an always-on host of its own. It connected directly to its broker's paper account, restored its full research databases, and proved it can recover itself unattended in minutes. The original Mac system is preserved as archive and rollback — not discarded, not forgotten.

That is the whole story so far, stated plainly because the next chapter has to be earned the same way.
